Description: Travels through Montana, Idaho, and Washington, going through three national parks and seven national forests
Terrain: Traverse mountain ranges, valleys, rainforests, and seashore
Dangers/safety concerns: various animals including grizzly bears, black bears, and mountain lions
Hiking season: July through September
Sleeping facilities: camping. Trail towns offer lodges, motels, hostels, and private campgrounds
Allowed modes of travel: hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking (in some areas)
